First-time exhibitors at EXPO REAL 2016: focus on ITA, Agenzia del Demanio and INVIMIT, Italy

Part 4 in our “First-time exhibitors 2016” series

Italy is technically no newcomer to EXPO REAL – but it will be the first time that Italy’s presence is organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Their partners – Apulia, Tuscany, Trentino, FS Sistemi Urbani, Agenzia del Demanio, Difesa Servizi and INVIMIT Sgr – will be presenting a full range of projects in the residential, commercial, business and manufacturing areas. We talked with representatives of ITA, Agenzia del Demanio, the Italian public real estate agency, and INVIMIT Sgr, the Ministry of Economy’s Real Estate management fund, about their attendance.

Compelling reasons to attend EXPO REAL 2016

All representatives of these agencies have different reasons to attend EXPO REAL this year. Roberto Luongo (Italian Trade Agency), for example, highlights the “attentive and qualified audience” that is necessary “to showcase profitable and high-potential projects.” This is also an important factor for INVIMIT who see EXPO REAL as “the most important event in real estate” that offers “very interesting business opportunities and contacts.” Moreover, it is the right place “to meet the entire platform of global real estate industry,” says Marco Vecchione (Agenzia del Demanio), and finds it perfect to “discover retail real estate projects from around the world.”

Interesting projects ahead

These new exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their projects at EXPO REAL 2016. For ITA the event will be a chance to promote its new website. This database includes – among others – assets owned by the government. The properties are available for purchase or long term lease and can be searched for by asset type, GIA or risk profile.

The Agenzia del Demanio will present the new opportunities of the project “Valore Paese Fari”. This initiative aims to redevelop and re-enhance the entire lighthouse network. These “sea treasures” will be able to be reclaimed through an innovative and sustainable business project capable of hosting touristic and hotel activities as well as cultural, social and sport initiatives and events.

INVIMIT will present three prestigious properties in Rome, Como and Padua: The historical complex Palazzo Nardini in Rome dates back to the XVth century, and is located in the very center of the town, in proximity to Piazza Navona. Villa Giovio near Como, built in 1790, and the surrounding park compose an historical complex dating to the XVIIIth century. The third property, Palazzo Dondi Dell’Orologio in the city centre of Padua, is a historical building dating back to the XVIth century. From 2006 to 2011 the building has been subject to an extensive refurbishment.
